The Plastic-metal-hybrid technology allows new possibilities for design in lightweight construction. Use synergy effects purposefully. On one side, there is the world of plastic; on the other, the world of metal. Hybrid plastic molded parts have great potential for the future. The combination of different materials allows constructions to be smaller, lighter, less wasteful, and therefore more economical. They also combine many functions, some of which are new. With the right expertise, valuable hybrid molded parts can be manufactured efficiently. The applications for hybrid components are as yet undeveloped. The current debate within the innovation industry triggered by the restriction on CO ² and the increasing value for money for plastics are accelerating this trend.
